Spicy Strawberry Pepper Jam

16 oz fresh strawberries
2 red peppers
1-2 Fresno pepper
1-1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 water (if needed)


Step 1 Prep your fruit and vegetables by removing the green leafy steam and deseeding the peppers. Chop the strawberries, red pepper, and Fresno pepper and add them to a medium-sized pot. 


Step 2 Add sugar, apple cider vinegar, and balsamic vinegar to the pot. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Bring the pot to a simmer over medium-low heat. Add 1/4 cup of water if needed.


Step 3 Once the strawberries and red peppers have softened, use a muddler or masher to smash the strawberries and peppers. Cook until the consistency has thickened and reduced by half, about an hour.

Fin. Store the mix in a glass jar and allow it to cool before using. I love to eat it on top of these Fried Green Tomato Sliders!
